For me, one of the coolest things about being a photographer is capturing the special moments in peoples lives. But do you want to know what's cooler? Capturing special moments of my family, friends, and peers. That is what was so nice about this Bridal Session with Ashley and Drew. Ashley and I went to high school together. We are both Alumni of Hillcrest High School c/o 2006. (Go Hawks!) So when she reached out to me about capturing her and her new husbands bridal portraits it was my absolutely my pleasure!
One of the things that is most tricky about every wedding day, is finding enough time for bridal portraits. While nice photos are always on the top of every Brides priority list, very few allot a significant amount of time on their wedding day timeline to make that happen. That was not the case with these two. Ashley and Drew were already married, but decided to come home to Chicago and have a reception with family and friends. So she reached out to me with the idea of having a session for Bridal Portraits only. And my heart literally leapt for joy to have the opportunity to have 2 hours of uninterrupted time with my Bride and Groom.
On the day I shot their session, I brought my husband to assist me. Let me just say it having him as an assistant has not only made my job easier, but also a whole lot more fun! I photograph the couples while my husband cracks corny jokes. It's a win win for everyone. 😂The 4 of us had a blast together. I truly enjoy photographing couples. Especially when they are like this pair! Ashley and Drew are literally the sweetest couple ever. You can really feel their love for each other. Drew is so helpful. Even down to helping Ashley buckle her shoes under all that dress. 👰🏽 And Ashley literally can not keep her hands off of Drew (just look at the photos 😍). These two are absolutely adorable! I wish them a lifetime of blessings, happiness and love!
