1 Year In........October 14, 2017
Last Sunday my love and I officially took one whole trip around the sun as husband and wife. We turned ONE! And being Mrs. Reid is literally the joy of my life and I am so grateful to be married to such a wonderful human being. 🤗 And as excited as I am about this I have been struggling to put it to words. And I am not exaggerating or trying to sound deep. I have seriously been struggling to put words on paper. This is literally my 3rd drafted anniversary blog post and I am over a week late sharing this.
The Reid's Take Italy!
Ever since we first started dating my husband Ken and I always said that we wanted our relationship to be filled with adventure, including but not limited to travel, new activities, meeting new people, trying new foods, etc. We even made a hashtag for our relationship on our first date: #TheAdventuresOfKenAndNelli. We have definitely lived up to that hashtag because the 2 weeks of my life has refinitely been an adventure. My husband and I finally took our first trip together since we got married. We love to travel but haven't had the opportunity to since last summer (before our wedding) so this was much needed…
On this Day... 3/29/2016
One of my favorite things on facebook is the 'On This Day' feature. I love logging in and seeing what I was doing, thinking, or snapping 📸 on this very day last year, 2 years ago, and maybe even 6 or 7 years ago. When I looked at this feature today I was excited because I realized that today is a really special day. On this day, 2 years ago, I boarded a flight to Dallas meet my Husband, Ken, for the first time. I haven't really talked much about how we met or our journey to marriage so I want to take today to start sharing our love story...
Dear God, Thank YOU!
First I want to start this letter by simply saying thank you. And not thank you for the things I normally thank you for, like food, shelter, safety and my family. While I am very grateful for those things today I want to specifically thank you for a promise you gave me 3 years ago, a door you opened almost 2 years ago, a question you prompted 5 months ago, and a covenant you fulfilled 31 days ago. Thank you for my Husband...
