What’s included in my mini session?

Mini sessions are $325 + tax and include a 20-minute session for up to 5 people and 7 professionally edited digital images.

Additional people may be added for $25 per person.

How do I choose my 7 images?

Within 48–72 hours after your session, we’ll meet for a quick virtual image-selection appointment. I’ll show you all of the best images from your session and help you narrow them down to your 7 favorites. Your images are selected together during this appointment rather than through an online proofing gallery.

Can I purchase additional images?

Absolutely! If you fall in love with more than 7 images (which happens all the time!), you’ll have the option to purchase additional images during your virtual image-selection appointment.

When will I receive my final photos?

Your final edited gallery will be delivered within 7 days of your image-selection appointment. I know many people are using these photos for holiday cards and gifts, so I want to make sure you have them back quickly!

Do Holiday Minis include prints or Holiday cards?

Holiday Mini Sessions include a $25 print credit that can be used toward Holiday cards or other eligible printed products purchased through Janelle Jaqueline Photography. You’ll be able to see the available products and ordering options during your image-selection appointment.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Holiday Mini Sessions are outdoors. Sessions will still take place in cloudy, overcast or cooler weather—sometimes those conditions actually make for beautiful photos! If there is rain, severe weather or other conditions that make it unreasonable or unsafe to photograph outdoors, I will make the final decision about rescheduling and communicate any changes as soon as possible.

Holiday Minis: November 22 is the designated weather contingency date.

If additional arrangements are necessary, I’ll communicate available options directly with affected clients.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Mini session payments are non-refundable. Because these sessions have limited availability, your specific time is reserved just for you. That said, I completely understand that emergencies and unexpected situations happen. At the photographer’s discretion, you may be offered an available contingency date or the amount paid may be applied toward a future session. All rescheduling options are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.

Weather-related changes initiated by the photographer are handled separately under the weather policy above.

What happens if we're late?

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early and be completely ready for your session at your scheduled start time. Mini sessions are scheduled back-to-back, so unfortunately I’m unable to extend your session if you arrive late. Your session will still end at its originally scheduled time so the next family can begin on time.

Where exactly will our session take place?

Holiday Minis will take place outdoors on a private property in Flossmoor, Illinois, with both a holiday-inspired setup and a beautiful natural outdoor setting. Exact meeting locations, parking information and any additional instructions will be sent to booked clients before their session.

What should we wear?

Once you book, you’ll receive additional information to help you prepare for your session, including a styling guide. So don't worry—you don't have to figure it all out alone!

Can we bring more than 5 people?

Your session includes up to 5 people, and additional people may be added for $25 each. Because mini sessions are only 20 minutes long, they are designed for individual families and smaller groups. If you're hoping to photograph a large extended family with several different groupings, a full session may be a better fit. Feel free to reach out and I can help you decide!

What if my kids don't cooperate?

First: don't stress! Kids are kids, and I don't expect them to show up and suddenly behave like tiny professional models. 😂 I've been photographing families and children for years, and we'll keep things moving, have some fun and work with your kids rather than expecting perfection.

How do I reserve my spot?

Just click the button below! Your session is officially reserved once your contract is signed and payment is received. Mini sessions have a limited number of appointments available, and time slots are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

Once you're officially booked, you'll receive everything you need to prepare for your session.
