New Years Eve Intimate Pennsylvania Micro Wedding
Happy not so New Year everyone! š I wanted to start this blog saying that because even though we are halfway through the first month of 2021, it just fits with the photos I am sharing I am today. Stephanie and Kendelās New Years Eve wedding was my very last wedding of 2020. They were also my very first micro wedding! (By the way I am now completely sold on them. I am now contemplating how to make half of my weddings be 20 ppl and less. š¤š)
But a micro wedding was NOT what Stephanie and Kendel originally had in mind when they choose to get married on New Year Eve. When we first spoke in early 2020 they talked about how much they wanted to have a super fun New Years Eve celebration, where they would party their way in to the new year. There would be fireworks, champagne and all of their family and friends to help them celebrate. I was honestly trying to figure out how I could party with them AND take photos at the same time. š
Unfortunately COVID had other plans. I think it was in November when their plans were forced being drastically downsized (less than 30 people I believe). If I am being honest and it was my wedding getting downsized or postponed at the last minute I can not tell you how I would have responded. But these two really take going with the flow to the next level. And although I am sure they were a little disappointed but I definitely couldnāt tell. Stephanie simply emailed me about the change and a the new plan and that was that. They knew they still wanted to get married no matter what and Covid was not going to change that. So that is exactly what they did!
Stephanie and Kendel got married on December 31st, 2020 at the Mulberry Art Studios in Lancaster, PA. It was actually pretty cold and a little rainy outside but when you are this stunning and natural in front of a camera nobody can even tell. I think my favorite part about their wedding day the timing. We got to spend so much more time than I am used to, taking beautiful images that really showcase their love for each other and excitement about getting married. Their day really was all about them! ā¤ļø
After taking so many beautiful photo outside their venue (and even on the rooftop šš¾), their intimate wedding ceremony began. In front of their immediate families, they exchanged vows and rings, as Kendel wiped the tears rolling down Stephanieās face. And right before sharing their first kiss, Kendel made everyone laugh only as he can. It was so perfect.
Stephanie & Kendel,
āØThank you so much for allowing me to be apart of your wedding day. I know things did not go as you planned but I do believe that your wedding day went just as it was supposed to. Though big party would have been awesome the most important thing was your love for each other and you two saying I Do. I love that you guys stayed focused on that and persevered. Oh and I know the celebration next summer with all your family and friends will be even more amazing and I canāt wait! But I honestly hope it doesnāt end there. I would love to be apart of the big moments in the future. I also pray that God blesses your union and allows you guys to share a lifetime of love, joy, laughter, and abundance together.
Love your favorite photographer,
Janelle šø
