Lincoln Memorial Engagement Session | Washington D.C. Engagements
I am so excited to share some Basia and Gary’s engagement session on the blog today. Honestly the way 2020 has kind of rocked our world I am admitting that I am behind on keeping the blog up to date. So this is most likely the first of a ton of blog posts to come (bare with me guys 😂). But there is no cuter couple to get back in to the swing of things than Basia and Gary!
Can I start with how adorable these two are? They are seriously the cutest. Their entire session was nothing but sweet embraces and giggles. By the end of the session I barely had to give them any instructions. They were putting themselves in cute poses! And they came perfectly dressed for the occasion! During their session, Basia told me Gary has a thing for fashion and it was definitely apparent because both of their outfits were BOMB! I really want to know where Basia got her shirt from so I can order myself one. 👀 And I’ve had some well dressed grooms, but to show up to the engagement session in a tux literally made my day! A couple weeks before their session we decided together to shoot at a classic D.C. location, the Lincoln Memorial. It was good idea in theory. What we did not consider is how packed the D.C. monuments are on a Saturday evening, even in the middle of a pandemic. And of coarse to make matters even more complicated we choose the day when a whole high school of seniors were there celebrating their homecoming. 😩But as a seasoned photographer I am used to rolling with the unpredictable punches. And Gary and Basia were troopers about everything. Ironically enough when people saw that we were shooting their engagement session, they were so nice and gave us the space we needed. So Lincoln Memorial on a Saturday evening isn’t such a bad idea. Especially when you consider the beautiful sunset views! 😍
Basia and Gary, thank you for choosing me to photograph such an important occasion. You guys were so much fun and literally a dream to photograph. And I am in love with how your photos turned out! I can not wait until the wedding in July. I know it’s going to be epic!
