Downtown Philadelphia Engagement Session

We are a little over a week away from Tiana & Naeem’s wedding day! They will be my first wedding in a completely new decade. It’s crazy to even type that! 😱 I have now officially been a photographer for 2 decades (kinda lol). But in honor of such a momentous occasion, I wanted to give you guys a little sneak peak of what is to come. I have shared a few of these on Instagram and Facebook but their engagement session is definitely one of my 2019 faves! They deserve an entire blog post dedicated to them.

But before I get into talking about their engagement session I wanted to share just a little about this sweet couple. First of all getting to know Tiana & Naeem has been an absolute pleasure. They are two of the most fun and laid back people ever. Which made photographing them unusually easy. Most people show up to their engagement session a little nervous and self conscious. But not these two! (And if they were I couldn’t tell at all.) They just came ready to be themselves and have fun. And as you can see they also came DRESSED to PERFECTION! 😍 We spent a few weeks planning out their session and it was so amazing to see our vision came to life. We shot their engagement session in downtown Philly, just a little ways away from where the actual wedding will take place in New Jersey. The first location was in front of the iconic city hall building. These two brave souls trusted me as we stood in the middle of traffic to capture to some photo magic! ✨📸 Ok maybe I’m exaggerating just a little. 👌🏾😂 We were on the landing in between traffic. But believe me it feels like you are standing in the middle of traffic with the cars zooming past. But these two brought the perfect energy to make this location work. We got some love, joy, and even a little bit of drama!

The 2nd location was only about 7 minutes away. It’s still in the downtown Philadelphia area but in a more residential area. And if you guys follow me on Instagram you will know that these are probably my favorite images of the day. It was like the stars just aligned. ✨ Everything was so perfect! From their outfits, with that pretty pop of blue, to the homey feel of the location. I am so excited about how it all came together! And can you believe that I even found a door frame that matched their outfits. It was literally meant to be. 😍 Ok so I’ve told you guys exactly how amazing this session was but honestly if you just scroll down you can see it for yourself. The reason I love engagement sessions is because it gives me a small peak into each couples love story. And their wedding day fills in the rest of the pages. ❤️And with Tiana & Naeem I know their wedding is going to be the party of the new decade!
