Chicago Wedding Photography | Crystal & Renard
Happy Hump Day guys! Or for us Wedding Photographers Happy #WeddingWednesday.
This year has been filled with so much Family, Engagement and Maternity Photography I am so excited to share some Wedding Photography today on the blog. And Crystal and Renard's June Wedding was so amazing. It is the perfect Wedding to add some flare to the blog!
I love having connections with my Couple's that are beyond Photography. And this connection goes way back. I met Crystal at least 13 years ago. We are both Hillcrest High School Alumni. In our high school days I just remember her being such a sweet person and that still holds true today! She is one of my sweetest Bride's to date. The other cool connection is three years ago I photographed her best-friend Candis's wedding, who is also a Hillcrest Alumni (Candis is on the bottom left in the picture below). I have worked with so many of my High School classmates over the years but I am really honored when they choose me to capture moments as special as their wedding day.
We started the day with Crystal and all her girls getting ready in the bridal suite. I love seeing the bride surrounded by an awesome and supportive tribe. Everyone was attentive and helpful. And Crystal was cool, calm and collected. This is a photographers dream! A calm bride makes for a fun and relaxed Wedding Day.
It's so easy when planning a wedding to forget that you are actually planning a marriage. Marriage is more than a fabulous dress and pretty flowers. It's about two individuals choosing not only each other but also choosing together to honor God by becoming one. These two did not loose sight about what this day really meant for them. Witnessing their entire wedding ceremony and watching them say their vows was simply beautiful. It was God-centered, heartfelt, and even included Renard's children in the ceremonial pouring of the sands.
My favorite part of EVERY wedding day is the bridal portraits. The time when I get to pull the couple aside and give them a little alone time (well with me of coarse, lol) just to take in the moment. Wedding days are so jam packed with stuff that couples rarely get to enjoy each other. I like to think that I get to give them some time to breath, laugh, and love on each other. As you can see from the adorable pictures they really enjoyed their moment.
One thing I can say is that these two sure know how to throw a party. From the unexpected choreographed Daddy Daughter dance to the dance off between the bridesmaids and the groomsmen, this reception did not disappoint!
I just want to say thank you to Crystal and Renard for allowing me to be apart of such a joyous celebration. I had so much fun with you both. And I wish you nothing but years of love, happiness, and blessings!
