Chicago Family Photographer | McMillian Family Session

Family Photography will forever be super important to me. I started my business photographing families because I really believe that capturing a milestone for a family has a lasting impact. I am actually creating something that will forever be apart of their family history. And I love feeling like a distant cousin who gets to capture my families as they grow. 🤗

The McMillian family is actually an extension of another family I have been photographing for years. Cameron’s sister, Keya is one of my most loyal clients. We take photos yearly of her and her sweet family. And she recommended me to photograph Cameron and Shalayne’s for their very first family session ever! It is the ultimate compliment when that happens. And in case you didn’t know word of mouth and recommendations in this business are EVERYTHING!

The McMilllian’s are adorable and honestly this session was breeze to photograph. Photographing families with small babies can always be a little nerve wrecking going into them because you never know how the session will go. One missed nap can through everything out of whack. 😂 But CJ is nothing short of baby perfection. He did nothing but smile the entire session. And we didn’t just luck up on this day. Cameron and Shalayne told me he is just super chill all the time (thats my kinda baby 😎). They said he is such a good baby that they are a little nervous about having another one. I guess lightening rarely strikes twice. 😩😂 But I am so excited to share these amazing images and to work with them again in a few months for CJ’s first birthday. I hope to continue capturing them for many years to come!
