Elegant Washington D.C. Maternity Session
Happy Quarantine day like 783. 😂 Since I have stumbled across some unexpected free time 🙃🙃🙃 I decided that maybe I should add some of my favorite sessions from last year to the blog. As many of you know I am pretty new to the East Coast. I’ve been here about 2.5 years now so I am still exploring the area. One of my favorite things is when I get the chance to shoot at a cool, new place. So last August, when Cherise booked her maternity session and said she wanted to shoot at the National Arboretum, I was super excited! The National Arboretum is a very large outdoor nature museum that has The National Capitol Columns inside, which is one D.C.’s well known monuments. This was my first time visiting the Arboretum and one thing I did not realize was how large so it is. It is miles and miles of nature. So it was a little challenging to find where on the grounds the actual monument is. Luckily for me Cherise and her Mom met up with me and directed me to the exact right spot. Honestly if it weren’t for them I would probably still be turned around trying to find the monument. 😂Although the views were stunning, I have to say my favorite part was getting Cherise in front of my lens and having her awesome mom there as a helper. These two are so fun and sweet. It was like photographing a friend I’ve known for years. And as you can see she came READY! Her outfit was perfect for the location which made me so happy. Because if you know me at all you know I love a well coordinated session. Cherise and her bump were literally glowing! Scroll down and see my faves from her maternity session.
Cherise, thank you for allowing me to photograph such a special moment in your life. And I pray that you and your family are staying safe and healthy during this time. And once we are allowed outside again I would love to get you and your little one in front of camera. ❤️
